Steven Ortiz is a senior associate attorney at Okhovat Law Firm. Steven graduated magna cum laude from Whittier School of Law with a certificate of concentration in trial and appellate practice and criminal law. Prior to law school, he received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to joining Okhovat Law Firm, Steven was the litigation attorney at another plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, where he was the primary attorney who handled the firm’s litigation calendar from filing through trial. Steven has experience in handling all types of injury cases, including sexual assault, medical malpractice, mold cases, bullying cases, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents. Steven has a passion for being inside the courtroom. During his time in law school, he was a certified law clerk at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He worked alongside the District Attorney drafting and arguing motions on the record, as well as assisted in preparing cases for trial. He was inspired to become an attorney following his passion to help others and be a protector of those who cannot defend or advocate for themselves. He is a strong believer in discipline and hard work. Steven starts his day at 4:30 AM and works tirelessly until his clients obtain the compensation they deserve. Steven is an advocate of a good work-life balance and in his off time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his friends, and staying active in the gym.
